HandiCraft

Pakistan has very rich history and culture of handicrafts, these handicrafts reflects the traditions and culture of Pakistan. These handicrafts widen out beauty and people’s inherited skills, the real beauty of the handicrafts pieces really depend on the simplicity of the stuff, it is the glimpses of culture and feel of art. The Sindhi and Balochi embroidery, Kashmiri Shawl, Peshawari carpets, Gujrati pottery, camel skin lamps of Multan, brass and wood work done in different parts of Pakistan. These handicrafts are an excellent expression for the individuality of Pakistan. The shape, color and styles of handicrafts will very beautifully present the specialty of region.
Wood crafts: 
the carving art on wood and metal objects are the actual beauty of the hardworking craftsmen. In small villages these arts can be manufactured by hardworking craftsmen and are easily available in big cities. These crafts include decoration pieces and mirror frames and etc.
Pottery: 
Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Gujrat and some other places creates very colorful pottery which shows the traditional heritage. Chiniot is famous for carving work on wood; Multan is most popular for its blue pottery and Pakistani potters are also well known for creating the tiles that are used in decorating public buildings and mosques.
Carpets and Textiles:
 carpet making is the tradition of Pakistan; in Lahore these handmade carpets are produced. In woolen carpets Islamic designs are the cultural part of the Middle East and South Asia. In Pakistan, Lahore and Karachi are the main production places of fine carpets. Balochi and Sindhi people are well-known for their mirror embroidery, to create sparkly masterpieces small mirrors are fixed in the fabric.
Furniture:
                Pakistani furniture is also very famous worldwide, because of its beautiful and intricate designs and styles, in the crowded jungles of northern areas of Pakistan, wood for furniture is available. People knew it “Sheesham” in local languages, for its beauty and uniqueness this furniture is very popular.
Leather goods and jewelry: 
jewelry includes the important items of metal work like dishes, boxes and swords. The precious stones in jewelry is not limited to just bracelets, necklaces, and rings but also includes forehead and hair decoration and some nose stuffs. Basketry and Leatherwork are the most important crafts.
TEF is also organizing trainings about Handicraft. These trainings will helpful for those peoples including men and women who are very fond of Handicraft and due to less resources they can’t take part in Handicraft. Some memories of TEF Handicraft Trainings are as follows:
